Anma on the Battlefield
Centuries ago, Anma was intimately integrated into martial arts. Shogun medical practitioners were charged with restoring Samurai warriors during and after battles so they could return to field quickly.
This workshop is first in a series of restorative Anma techniques for the martial artist and other fighting disciplines.
Objectives
In this workshop, participants will learn:
- Seated and lying positions to deliver Anma.
- Friction Strokes to deliver heat.
- Forearm kneading on the neck.
- Palm rotations for the pectorals, teres, traps, back, neck, and arms.
- Three-finger rotation technique for the rhomboids.
- Forearm and elbow pressure techniques on the shoulders.
- Percussion.
This training is designed for martial arts partners to be able to deliver a simple and effective 5-10 minute kata to aid in the recovery of exerted muscles after training.
Your registration is confirmed upon payment. If the event is sold out, you will be redirected to this page.
