The Big Muscles
In the first class we learned basics of technique application and a simple Anma kata to deliver an effective massage to anyone in five minutes.
This second class continues building on basic application and delving into proper body mechanics to deliver deep compression to release the back, hips, and shoulders (erectors, glutes, pecs, deltoids, hamstrings, piriformis). Doing this has far reaching benefits to extremities including the elbows and wrists, neck, knees and ankles.
Objectives
In this workshop, participants will learn:
- Proper delivery of pressure and compression using body mechanics.
- Joint stacking thumb pressure technique for Yu Points.
- Kneading and compression techniques for hip release.
- Kneading and compression techniques for shoulder mobilization.
- Movement and stretching techniques to release low back.
- Special techniques using knees, elbows, and heels. (Yay!)
This training is designed for martial arts partners to be able to deliver a simple and effective 10-15 minute kata to aid in the recovery of exerted muscles after training.
